So you get talent that will let you set an energy pistol to be used as a granade, ignoring penalties like when using energy melee weapons, etc. how your agents are different? WIth talents, of course! two agent that wants to be hotshot, will be identical. but the implications are that, having an high skill in tactical firearms, you are going to create an agent that will be an hotshot with 80% of the firearms used in the game. Two skills that have completely different "weight" in how much you can use with them. Light firearms, instead, is used for pistols. Tactical Firearms is used for rifle, shotgun, machinegun, assault rifle and the like (It's from the top of my head, so I could be inaccurate). The other one is that these skills are strangely grouped.

Reading the books it's evident that trainings (that I'll see exactly as talents of D&D), are a design decision to differentiate PC.īasically the very short skill list is one aspect of the issue. Well, mainly I don't like "Trainings", but this has far reaching implications in the system.
